White Flowers found along the canyon

“Flowers are without hope.  Because hope is tomorrow and flowers have no tomorrow.”  ~Antonio Porchia, Voces, 1943, translated from Spanish by W.S. Merwin

Sea Lions On a Rock

These two beauties sit atop rocks off the coast of Corona Del Mar Beach in Newport Beach, California.  It is clear that an artist took great pains to erect such a sculpture in such an obscure location.  Waves often crash over these rocks, immersing this pair with the cool pacific sea water.

Spanish Iris

“Give fools their gold, and knaves their power; let fortune’s bubbles rise and fall; who sows a field, or trains a flower, or plants a tree, is more than all.” ~ John Greenleaf Whittier

Garden Flowers

“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”~Luther Burbank

Lone Bird

“Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings.” ~Victor Hugo

Laguna

“How inappropriate to call this planet Earth when it is quite clearly Ocean.”

~Arthur C. Clarke
